Trauma Narrative-The End?

Writer's picture: Jess CooleyJess Cooley

I'm just jumping on here real quick to address you all, my readers and friends. I want you to know that my tale has by no means ended. I can only hope that my future is filled with peace and happiness rather than sorrow and pain. I don't expect a complete lack of the latter, but I would prefer a smaller amount.

Many details were neglected in the composition of my trauma narrative because I wrote as memory allowed without turning back to review or edit. What you've read is a raw, unaltered version of my life's events before today. I've pondered a return to my story to add and tweak, but that depends on my decision to transform it into a book, as I've been advised.

For now, I'll leave my haphazardly written posts for public viewing. In the meantime, I've begun work on a fictional book involving-wait for it-mermaids. *Shrugs sheepishly* What can I say? My passion for writing, though quite newly discovered, has grown immensely over recent weeks. I hope you'll stick with me and give feedback if you can. I know I may force you from your comfort zone with my detailed depictions of certain horrors, but I have only recounted the truth from my perspective.

Thank you, again, for your loyal readership. May your life be filled with blessings and peace.
